vicenna considers poetry as one of the five logical arts having main characteristics which can be influential in transmitting culture, education and evaluating society members. According to his view, As a result of containing some qualities including imitation and rhythmical composed, it can be imaginative and joyful. He believed there are two reasons attracting people to poetry: 1) Enjoying from imitation or mimesis. 2) Enjoying from compatibly composing of rhythmic words which is well-matched with human's nature. The most important effect of poem is its capacity to provoke the audience's imagination and permanently guides her from the stage of imagery which is so pleasant and joyful, to the stage of perception of deep concepts and meanings. Thus, in more conventional knowledge where demonstration, rhetoric and dialectic have less benefit, the style of poetry is preferable. Also, common sense accepts the poems better. Consequently, poetry is a suitable way in protecting and evaluating culture.
